How did Kids Give start?

Teague Brown shares his Mom's (Ivy Brown) love of giving back to the community through charity. Every time Ivy had a charity event or board meeting, Teague was sad that he could not help or attend. One day Ivy was telling Teague she had a charity commitment and of course Teague asked if he could attend or help. Instead of saying sorry no, Ivy asked Teague some more more questions. What do you think goes on at my charity meetings and why do you want to attend? Teague answered simply, you help people that need help and I can help too.

Teague was right, he could help and why not include him? We are working on making our community and the world a better place and that starts with kids.

This was the inception of Kids Give.

Why is Kids Give important?

We need to involve, inspire and encourage our kids to participate in their community, give back to others and focus on kindness. Kids want to be involved, they want to give back but don't feel they have their own voice. Kids Give will give them that platform. At Kids Give we will organize and contact charity auctions to raise funds through the kids' ideas, art and work that they create. Kids Give is empowering kids to meet with local leaders to make positive change in our community. Kids will learn positive life lessons and skills that they will have their entire life.

Kids are not invited to participate in other charities.

There are no other local charities in SWFL that are focused on kids giving back to the community and or including them at a young age. Kids Give changes all of the that! Kids Give empowers kids to take an initiative through giving back to their community.
